Annual Open Meeting 2026.
Our main public event of the year. The chair presents the year’s accounts in plain English; trustees answer questions; everyone goes home by half past eight.

The shape of the evening.
- 19.00. The chair calls the meeting to order. Apologies are received.
- 19.05. Gareth Thomas (trustee) presents the year’s ledger and accounts in plain English. Figures are in pounds, not in £’000s.
- 19.25. Questions from parishioners. We try to answer everything. If we cannot, we say so.
- 19.55. A short note from the chair on the year ahead — usually three or four sentences.
- 20.05. Tea, biscuits and an unhurried twenty-five minutes for anyone who would like a private word with a trustee.
- 20.30. Close, on the dot.
Venue and arrival
Llanwrthwl Village Hall, Llanwrthwl, Llandrindod Wells, Powys, LD1 6NU. Parking is on the lane outside the hall and on the verge by the bridge — please leave room for residents’ cars. The hall is a single-storey building with level access from the front porch.
What to bring
Yourself, a warm jumper, and any question you would like answered. Printed agendas and a copy of the trustees’ short report will be on the back table. Tea, squash and biscuits are provided.
Accessibility
The hall has level access from the porch and a ramp to the main room. There is a single accessible toilet. We can provide a printed copy of the agenda in larger type — please let us know when you book. A loop is fitted, but the hall is small enough that most people can hear without it. Children are welcome; there is a corner with a few quiet books.
Tell us you’re coming.
The meeting is free and open to all. Booking is helpful so we know how many chairs to set out. There is no need to bring confirmation; we keep the list on a single sheet of paper.
